CHEEEEEZZZEY!!

What's the best thing about eating Cheetos? Licking that artifical orange cheese stuff off your fingers, of course! Oooh yum, it is so good! Since Katie is having dairy now and Cheetos are gluten free, we thought we'd let her try some. Needless to say, they were a total hit and she now asks for them all the time!!

Another yummy treat that both kids have gotten to enjoy is Go-Gurt! Kelton has been begging for it forever, but I always refused to buy it until they just recently came out Simply Go-Gurt. It doesn't contain hfcs, artifical colors or flavors and after coupons, it's only about $1/box at Walmart. The best part was that they both got to have it together!!

We don't have too many pictures like this because of the gender/age difference with the kids, but I love having a couple outfits that ALL of them have been able to wear.

Two weeks ago, Eric dug up our gnarly rose bushes and all the ugly lava rock and replaced it with mulch and some pretty bushes. There was also a bush in the corner that he removed and replaced with some flowers. He worked really hard, Katie was a big help and the front yard looks great!

Earth Day this year was just me and Kon Kon. Kelton was at school and Katie was at Debbie's. Naturally he wore an appropriate outfit (the socks are organic :-) and I made dirt and worms for dessert that night. It was super yummy (and gluten free!)

I spent $22 and some change on this stuff at Target Monday evening. I'm super excited to be sharing my couponing skills with the neighborhood pond wives and even more excited that Eric's finally willing to set a budget so we can work towards paying off the truck faster and saving more.

I did all the shopping for the week today,
four stores in under 3 hours!

Target was first. I dropped $20.93 for this stuff and grabbed a green tea latte on my way out. :-) Yum! This was such an awesome deal on diapers that I might go back before the week is over!

Dillons was next. I mostly went to stock up on veggies. I paid $31.95 for this stuff and got a $4 coupon to use on my next trip.

I had planned to head home after that since Eric was home alone with all 3 kids, but when I called he said things were going fine, so I headed to Walmart. This stuff was $40.53.

Last stop was Walgreens. I paid $7.34 but left with $7 in RR to spend next time. Eric loves those laundry sheet things to wash his work clothes with. I don't actually use Stayfree, but I made $1 each purchasing them, so they'll go to the local Care and Share next time I take a box in.

So for this week, I spent $100.75 but saved $138.61 with my coupons AND I have $11 to spend when I shop next week. We might have to buy a loaf of bread this week and I might go back to Target for more diapers, but other than that, we're done!

Next weekend the playset goes up!

And another week goes by

Over the weekend we made our first trip back to Eric's parent's since Konnor was born. He slept the whole way there and the whole way home. Katie NEVER did that. She cried the entire 2hrs and often still often does. We went for a wedding reception for a couple of our friends. They were married in Mexico early this month.....which were still bummed about about having to miss. Konnor was an angel and Katie had a great time.

Our little Koggle turned 2mo on the 13th! I can't believe time is going by so quickly! He's certainly growing!! He checked in at 12lbs 1oz and 21.5in. The other kids were pretty comparable at that age. Katie was 11lbs 7oz and 22.75in. Kelton was 12lbs 14oz and also 22.75in.

It's hard being 2mo old!

While I'm taking care of baby Kon, Katie spends time taking care of her babies....including thinking she needs to pump for them.

While we've been busy taking care of babies, Kelton has been learning about gun safety with Dad.

With some practice, someday he might be
as good a shot as his mommy!!

I've managed to start getting my bargain shopping in on a regular basis again. Last week at Dillons, I spent $14.40 but saved $14.01. I got yoplait yogurt for .27 cup!!

I spent $20.23 for this stuff at Walmart.

And $8.59 last night at Walgreens!
I'm going to use the gummies for a dirt and worm cake
I'm making Thurs for Earth Day!

Coming in the next couple blogs....Eric's awesome work on our front yard, the house is getting painted, the building of our playset and since lots of people have been asking, where I get my coupons and how I organize them all. I'm far from a pro, but I'm happy to share how it works for me. :-)

I'm always a week behind! - EASTER!

My free time is so much more limited now that little Koggle has joined our family. He and Katie haven't quite figured out that it'd be okay to nap at the same time and he usually prefers to cluster feed in the evenings. Without free hands, blogging takes a backseat as well as getting my thank you notes and announcements sent out as well. BUT these days don't last long and I want to soak up all the newborn cuddles while I can.

So finally....Easter!

Eric, Kelton and Katie dyed eggs on Saturday afternoon. And amazingly enough, eggs are the only thing that ended up colored!

The Easter Bunny came!

Can't forget cute outfits!

Mimi, Aunt Sarah and Layla came over to eat dinner and hunt eggs. Kelton loved hiding eggs for the girls. They all consumed WAY too much candy!

Konnor is 2mo old tomorrow! I can't believe the time is going by so quickly. He's such a sweet little man. I wish we could keep him tiny forever.

Whatcha eating, Katie?

DAIRY PRODUCTS!

One night last week during dinner, Katie asked Eric for a bite of his cheesy potatoes. As she's gotten older, one thing that really sucks is when she wants to try something that's not safe for her. Our allergist had told us to try dairy after her second bday whenever we felt comfortable. So that's what we did...a couple bites of cheesy potatoes and a couple M&Ms and no reaction! The next night, a bit of shredded cheese! We're taking things slow but are very optimistic! There are so many more gluten free options available to her if she can have dairy!

Now that I'm feeling better, Eric and I finally got to go out for our anniversary! We had dinner at Logan's, bought the kids a bunch of clothes at TCP and did a little bargain shopping!

Even I was surprised when my total at Walgreens was .85!!

Target was $17.71. The big portion of that was the Elefun game which was $9 after my coupon. Bugs will get it for Xmas this year.

The next morning, we had some special one on one time with Katie. With my difficult recovery, we had put off her 2 yr pics. We went to Portrait Innovations and got some great pictures, Green Acres for gluten free mac and cheese, Walmart for a few groceries and finally Cold Stone! Yummy! It's a little soon for that much dairy, but she was very happy to have her OWN cup of sorbet.

I think it was really good for her to have some time alone with us. She's a pretty high needs little lady as it is and the new baby hasn't exactly made her easier to handle. We're definitely going to have to "treat" her on a regular basis!
