On Friday, Katie weighed in at 18lbs 4.5oz, just 1oz shy of gaining everything back. We're going to wait 3wks before we weigh again. I bet we'll be close to 19lbs by then!
Kindergarten screening didn't happen. When I woke Kelton up for school, he said his tummy hurt and by the afternoon was running a temp of almost 103. He didn't understand why he would go to kindergarten and yell anyway. :-) He thought it was screaming instead of screening. After that, we started calling it his kindergarten test.
Katie was actually running a low grade temp also.
Thankfully they both woke up on Saturday morning feeling great because Eric had planned to take them both with him to a gun show in town. They all wore their camo.
While they were gone, I ran into town also in search of an adorable outfit I'd seen at our Walmart, but not in her size. I didn't find the outfit, but I did score all of this for just over $20. There are 3 pairs of jeans, a shirt, and a romper.
Katie used to be an awesome eater. Awesome. Which was awesome because Kelton was a terrible eater. Now it appears she's hit a downhill slide. I spend a lot of time and money finding things she can eat, only to have her throw them on the floor and scream without even trying them. I realize that's pretty normal at this age, but Katie has been pretty difficult and when the one thing that wasn't difficult becomes difficult, it's very frustrating.
Zucchini used to be her favorite, only now she won't touch it. She's always loved bananas, but mostly throws them on the floor as well. I would love for her to be on full table food by now, but I feel like I can't stop spoon feeding her for fear she'll lose weight. She still loves babyfood green beans or peas mixed with pears, refried beans and spanish rice mixed together, and yogurt (soy, coconut or rice).
Eric does bathtime so it doesn't matter to me when she gets yucky, but I do the laundry. Here's what happens when I let her eat her beans and rice on her own.
I think that took an entire bottle of spray 'n wash since she has a thing for taking her bibs off lately. I outsmarted her though, I bought one that she can't get off. It makes her mad when we put it on her, so that might be contributing to some of the mealtime troubles we're currently having.
Remember my friend Jaime and her little baby Molly? I just packed up a little box of Katie's clothes for her and I included a little special something that I can't wait to post a picture of. Don't want to ruin the surprise though. I'm so excited that I could pee a little. (Which really, after having kids, isn't all that uncommon anyway).
Next blog will have new compost pictures and details about my latest bow order. I feel kind of like I'm cheating on my regular bow lady, but the order I put in a month ago still isn't here and probably won't be until next week and I can't say that I'm very happy about it.

I love the messy food pics! I actually miss those days. Savannah gets very upset if she spills and acts like it's the end of the world. OCD. This reminded me to go to Walmart and get those jeans! Can't beat a deal like that!
LOVE THE DRESS! Stinkin' cute. You have good taste :p
Give that girl a Bud Light, soda will ruin her teeth :D
I know it is super hard to find food Katie can eat, and I ran across this recipe. It is really good, I made them. Gluten and wheat free.. AND low cal, can you beat that?
