Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day is always super fun and since the kids really like it, I try hard not to let it get lost in the business of all the birthday parties we have this time of year.

Of course we had our favorite gel window clings.  So fun.  So cheap.

Katie and Konnor did our regular sucker valentines.  I was surprised that Konnor stood still and let me take his picture.

Kelton went with something different this year.....

We made these cute little thumb print cards for the grandparents....

For Kelton's 3rd grade class party, I had them play Minute to Win It Valentine Style.  They each got a handful of conversation hearts and had 60 secs to stack as many as they could.  Whoever had the most standing at the end was the winner.  We played several rounds and you wouldn't believe how quiet the kids were!  I wish I had pictures.

After Kelton's party was over, we picked up Katie and Konnor who were having a pj day and their Valentine parties at Learn and Grow.  We headed over to the local nursing home to hand out Hershey Kisses to the residents.

Just like last time, Konnor has the most fun.  It's funny how they elbow each other out of the way to be able to be the one to hand out the treat.  All the sweet little old ladies tried very hard to coax him onto their laps, but he was busy handing out candy!  Hopefully we can make it back again around St. Patrick's Day.

Since Thursdays are pancake days anyway, I figured red velvet pancakes would be perfect for Valentine's Day.  I'm not sure if it was that I couldn't use real butter or the gf flour, but they were an epic FAIL.

Thankfully we had our plenty of our regular Thursday pancakes in the freezer.  We set up the tables with balloons, marshmallow pops and put valentine candy corn on their pancakes.

If I can manage to get over the candy coma I still have, there is lots of prep work to day for Katie's My Little Pony party this weekend!
