Review : Green Giant Veggie Snack Chips

BzzAgent provided me with samples and coupons.  Please see my full disclosure at the bottom of the post.

Always eager to try new veggie chips, I couldn't wait to taste Green Giant's varieties.

Green Giant Veggie Snack Chips are available in two flavors..

  • Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips with Zesty Cheddar are crispy tortilla chips made with real vegetables like carrot, broccoli, and tomato, plus 17g of whole grain.

  • Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips with Sea Salt are made with real sweet potatoes and 14g of whole grain.

  • Obviously the Zesty Cheddar were not safe for the entire family, so I took it upon myself to devour the entire bag.  They kind of reminded me of Sun Chips.  Tasty, but not exactly what I would consider healthy.

The Sea Salt variety did happen to be safe for the kiddies and they had no problem eating most of the bag at lunch one day.

I think I actually liked this variety more than the cheddar.  For one, they didn't give me foul breath and I loved the slight sweetness.  If you can keep yourself from eating the entire bag, I think they make a great snack.  Although, like the cheddar, I wasn't completely sold that they're much of a "veggie" chip

Overall, Green Giant Veggie Snack Chips definitely have taste appeal and I will purchase them in the future, but not necessarily as a "healthy snack" option.

Disclosure: I was provided complementary samples and coupons for Green Giant Veggie Snack Chips through BzzAgent.  The opinions expressed here are my own and may differ from other's experience.
