Summer is here!

After a fast and furious last couple weeks of school, summer is finally here!  I always take first and last day pictures, although this year I'm not sure there's a huge difference.  Kelton looks maybe more tired!  Ha!  Is that an age thing?  Katie has definitely matured a bit though with her haircut and earrings.

This year we decided to write down everything we wanted to do and check it off as we went along.  So our summer fun bucket list was born.  Ta Da....

Right away we checked off making italian sodas and popsicles.  We're full speed ahead in the summer reading program too.  I even signed up this year!  What a great excuse to sit down with a book!

Of course (in keeping tradition) one of the first things we did to celebrate good grades was drive through Starbucks! We did this one the way to pick up packets for the River Fest 10K, which was the next day.

Summer rec started on Monday for Kelton.  I'm driving on my days off and I'm thankful for some other mommies who are able to drive while I'm working.

While Kelton is busy at his classes, Katie is getting a chance to start helping with more chores.  She also enjoys helping Konny work on his letters.

To help keep things interesting, we have a new pet.  He adopted us apparently and finds our garage to be quite cozy.  I just hope he doesn't decide he would prefer the cooler house!

I already see the summer flying to far to quickly but we are going to enjoy every second!
