Just shy of two weeks after we lost our sweet Jazzy, I was out for a run and saw that one of our neighbors had a new puppy. I went over to meet him and he was so sweet. I snuggled him up and he licked my face and I couldn't help but shed a few tears. A few days later, I went back over to ask if they knew if there were any left from the litter. There wasn't. Maybe it wasn't time.
That night I just started looking around online for yorkie puppies, wanting to get an idea of breeders in the area, prices, etc. I wasn't sure if it was time. The kids were already asking but I felt like I couldn't bare to replace my friend.
On a impulse the next morning, I called one of the numbers and she had one male pup left. Konnor and I went out to meet him after we left Heartspring. It just felt right, so we left with 1.8 lbs of male yorkie puppy sitting in my lap.
Eric didn't tell Katie and Kelton, so they were super surprised when they got home. It was awesome seeing their reaction and definitely solidified in my heart that this was the right move.
We decided to name him Remington and call him Remmy for short.
Later that week, Katie took him over to the side of the yard to "meet" Jasmine. I was so afraid to replace her, but that just showed she could never really be replaced or forgotten.
Of course we will always miss her, but we sure love our little man. At his last weigh in at 3 mo old, he was 2.3 lbs. His 4 mo appt will be soon and I'm betting he's over 3!
Now for an absurd amount of pictures because I know you all want to see them!
