I'm still trying to find the perfect spot for his newborn pictures taken by Joshua Alan Photography. Yes, it's even still in the wrapper! I need to get with it!
I met Josh and his sweet family through my office. He did such an awesome job, I can't wait to do family pictures this fall.
On Monday after Konnor's appt at the dermatologist, we stopped by Daddy's work for a little visit. Katie was super thrilled to be there until we walked in and she saw a big group of men sitting around the break table. She is extremely leery around adult men she doesn't know and I think if she could have just disappeared at that moment, she would have. She did eventually calm down and climb around in some planes.
Today, the kids wore their matching sibling shirts. I got them from before Konnor was born from My Baby Bears Boutique on Etsy. I waited WAY too long to order, but she got them to me super fast (so the kids could wear them to the hospital) for no extra charge.
I had the crockpot going....full of spaghetti sauce.
2 cans tomato paste (I like Muir Glen)
2.5 cups water
1 can crushed tomatoes
1 pk McCormick spaghetti seasoning
whatever veggies you have - I used shredded carrots and zucchini, chopped green pepper, onion, yellow squash, and more zucchini. I also threw in a yellow tomatoes and some cherry tomatoes (thanks Frankie!)
This cooked away for 5-6 hours so the veggies got nice and tender. I served it with angel hair noodles (corn based for Katie) and to keep my carnivorous hubby and his daughter happy, I added some ground deer/turkey.
The best part? There is lots left! Two containers of leftovers, plus 2 of ground meat and 2 of sauce for the freezer. YUM!

YUM! I can't wait to try your sauce recipe. I have been trying to rack my brain with more ways to use up all our veggies.
