Biathlon or Swim Meet?

After last years biathlon, Kelton was super excited to participate this year.  When we headed to Lake Afton the morning of the event, it was storming and had been most of the night.  The lightning and thunder faded, but it just kept on raining and raining and raining.  But we ran anyway!

Kelton did fabulous, even though he lost his shoe in a giant mud puddle.  We found it and he finished the race.  He hit 6 out of 10 shots, 4 in prone and 2 standing.  He was 2nd in his age group!

I was really happy with my shooting this year.  I hit 8 out of 10, 4 in prone and 4 standing.  I would have gotten 2nd place and maybe even 1st, but I stopped to help Kelton find his shoe.  What mattered was we found it and Kelton was able to finish and get an award!  I still had a good time and improved my shooting from last year.  Just shows you're always a mom first and I wouldn't have it any other way!  Not to mention, my sweet boy made me an award while I was at work the next day!

Our neighbor, Kim, joined us this year.  Plus my friend, Tammy, was there again and brought her boys.  One of her boys placed in his age group too.
