Wichita Wingnuts Baseball!

The Wichita Wingnuts are are a AA baseball team based in Wichita.  After going to a game a couple years ago, we were excited to go again.  Konnor is a little older now and would enjoy it more, which also meant, Eric and I would enjoy it more.  ;-)

Katie and I painted our nails special for the game.

We packed a backpack full of snacks for Konnor, but the rest of us were excited to indulge in some stadium food!!  Katie especially enjoyed her popcorn!  

Konny was excited to meet the mascot!

I think the kids favorite part was running that bases at the end.

Even though they were behind most of the game, they won at the very end by stealing home!  It was such a fun game and we hope to make another by the end of the season!

BLAST BALL

Konnor was finally old enough to participate in a sport this summer.  We were all so excited to sign him up for Blast Ball.  It's a little like tball.  The kids hit the ball of a tee, but don't run all the bases.   They just run towards first, where there's a base that makes a loud HONK sound when they jump on it.  While Konny is doing so awesome gross motor wise, he's still a bit below the average 4 yr old.  Because of that, the soy FPIES (and because how fun would it be coaching 4 yr olds!?), Eric signed up as the asst coach.

Small but mighty, Konny did awesome and had so much fun even though there were some super hot evenings!  Eric had a great time too and already plans on coaching again next year.
