Of course, I never follow any recipe exactly. Obviously, I didn't use a whole chicken and I mixed my minced onion with the dry ingredients. I rubbed each piece down really well and threw them in the crock pot on low.
This was done after 7 hrs and the smell had my mouth watering! I made some mashed potatoes, some green beans and decided to try my hand at gravy. It's intimidating, ya know? I ladled out some of the drippings, added some corn starch and the water from boiling the potatoes.
because it was just that good!
Grocery shopping this week wasn't anything too exciting. At Walgreen's, I got this stuff for $4.76. I stopped back by a 2nd time and got some Free and Clear Tide, another box of tampons, a Blistex and 2 pieces of candy for $3.77.
Thurs nights are always waffle nights at our house. It's easy and that's at least one day a week that I don't have to plan dinner. Last week, I fixed Kelton's waffles up extra special with bananas and chocolate sauce. At least they were whole wheat waffles, right? :)
Katie is such a little momma, always nursing, rocking and singing to her babies. Yesterday when I was wearing Konnor in a sling, she wanted to wear her baby too. I knotted up a blanket, but I think I'm going to have a get her a sling so she can easily put them on herself when she wants. She's just too cute!
I saved the most fun for last! Last night we got a visit from the K Cousins (Uncle Shawn and Aunt Carrie too)!! We had a lot of fun playing, eating watermelon and visiting the pond. We can't wait to play some more over the long weekend!
