The 4th of July!

It's huge in our neighborhood, HUGE, I tell you! We'd been celebrating all week already and started the weekend off right with some friends on Friday evening.

Matching gymbo with red, white and blue tutus.
Don't forget the shades!

Last week, I ran to Walgreen's and picked up this stuff for $5.97.

We were needing sunscreen and according to Skin Deep, the spray kind is basically the devil. I'm stucking my head in the sand though and telling myself since I mostly keep my pasty kids out of the sun, it's not that big of deal. My other reason for going was to get the fixins for SMORES!!

Of course we did fireworks. Amazingly enough I have very few pictures of us shooting them off this year, although we were lighting them up for 7 nights in a row!

Saturday, Pete put on his big show despite rain most of the day. Again, somehow I have no pictures of that, but I did capture the kids in their matching outfits before anyone managed to spit up or poop on themselves.

Earlier in the week.

Since yesterday was our big day to celebrate (and eat tons of yummy BBQ with Jason and Dolly), today was pretty relaxing and tomorrow will be also. We plan to run to SAMS and I'm hoping to get my new file cabinet organized!

Missed seeing Pete's fireworks display - but we were in complete downpout mode here. The pictures were all great and I'm sure the fireworks were fantastic....
